The Planet Mark Awards is a celebration of excellence across sustainability, from carbon reduction, supply chain engagement and social responsibility.

Thursday 18 November marked not only the final stop on the Zero Carbon Tour but also the 2021 Planet Mark Awards – an evening where we celebrate excellence across sustainability, from carbon reduction, supply chain engagement and social responsibility. It is an evening to celebrate the Planet Mark members who are tackling the global challenges of our time with passion, commitment and innovation.

In addition to hearing from Planet Mark Founder and CEO Steve Malkin, we also heard some inspiring talks from Jon Geldart, Director General at the Institute of Directors and Clare Shine, Director and CEO of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.

We want to extend a big congratulations to all finalists and winners, and a big thank you to all sponsors, the judging panel, guest speakers and, of course the Planet Mark members who are continuously working towards a brighter future.

The evening wouldn’t have been possible with the Planet Mark Award sponsors VolkerWessels UK, Prologis, Stephen George + Partners, Fora, GLP, Womble Bond Dickinson, Bourne Leisure, City Electrical Factors, Mental Health Charter, Lambert Smith Hampton, Tre Office, SKCI,  Whirlpool and TENZING.

This year, our members saw an average reduction of 24% in absolute carbon emissions – an incredible achievement that has more than surpassed the 2030 emissions targets. As we get deeper into this critical decade, the need to take action is even more urgent, so it is a pleasure to see the resolve of our community to deliver positive impacts for society and the environment. We love what we do, we love our community, and we thank everyone for sharing their time last night.

Now we must carry that momentum forward to accelerate the transition to net zero in this critical Decade of Action. The time is now for every person, organisation and authority to take decisive actions that will take back our climate. We invite you all to join us in setting a net zero target. No matter what stage in your net zero journey you are on, from committing to a target to creating the action plan needed to get there, we’re here to support you.

Commit to net zero. And keep 1.5 alive. View our net zero services.
