Certification story

Britcon provides building, civil engineering and steelwork solutions for the built environment. Behaving ethically continues to be the key to Bitcon’s long term sustainability. It believes that a strong focus on social, environmental and ethical impacts of the business provides the basis for good stakeholder relationships and a long term future.

In this crucial Decade of Action, the company wants to ensure that they are a force for good: positively transforming society and the planet by measuring its own impact on the environment. From its regional offices to the construction sites they work on, Britcon strives to work with local councils, education providers, charitable organisations and employment agencies to support local community needs.

Through Planet Mark, Britcon has protected an area of endangered rainforest thanks to Cool Earth; a charity working alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation. Its pledge through Cool Earth directly supports the Asháninka community in Central Peru.

It has also helped the Eden Project – an educational charity building connections with each other and the living world, exploring how we can work together towards a better future. The company is looking forward to sharing its sustainability achievements with the wider community.

Britcon has achieved Carbon Neutral status.
