This is GreenZone Cleaning & Support Services’ 11th year of business carbon footprint reporting and Planet Mark certification. Since certifying to Planet Mark, the company has set a target to reduce emissions by 5% annually.

Achieving Planet Mark is based on the commitment to continuous improvement in sustainability in its business operations by measuring and reducing its carbon footprint and engaging its stakeholders.

In the coming years, GreenZone Cleaning & Support Services will be working towards reducing its carbon emissions and sharing its journey with its community to inspire others. By being more strategic about its environmental responsibility, the company will be able to significantly increase its positive impact and hope to encourage continual improvements within its community.

Steve Malkin
Founder and CEO
Planet Mark
“GreenZone is a Planet Mark stalwart, an early pioneer of sustainable practice and an embracer of change. GreenZone takes a wholesale approach to sustainability, from landmark statements such as the electrification of its fleet to the minor details, low-carbon operations are at the centre of every business decision. Companies from all industries could learn from this approach. This year is just one of many successes in carbon reduction for GreenZone, and each year makes me more proud to work with their team.”
Steve Trew
Managing Director
“From inception, our mission has been to ensure every action GreenZone undertakes revolves around social, economic and environmental sustainability, ensuring our operations leave a positive legacy on our planet. We are thrilled to have achieved 10 consecutive years of externally certified carbon footprint measurement and reduction through Planet Mark, helping to facilitate our commitment to a Net Zero Action Plan. This validates GreenZone’s long-term commitment to contributing to the global effort for halting climate change.”

GreenZone aims to achieve new benchmarks in sustainability, inspire behavioural change and minimise the environmental impact of its operations. From the electrification of its fleet and promotion of public transport to introducing cutting edge technologies to create a truly chemical free cleaning experience, GreenZone embeds sustainability throughout its business operations. The company believes that being green is not just a bolt-on to business; it’s how to do business.

The cleaning industry is ripe for widespread change in the decade of climate action. The industry must take closer notice of its supply chain, learning about the impacts of chemicals in many cleaning agents. As popular opinion continues to want greater environmental awareness, cleaning companies must stay on the front foot regarding sustainability for client retention and acquisition purposes.

Future targets
