Certification story

N Family Club, an education management company, building progressive and design-led nurseries across London, has achieved Planet Mark certification.

This is N Family Club’s first year of business carbon footprint reporting and Planet Mark certification. Since certifying to Planet Mark, the company has set a target to reduce emissions by 5% annually.

N Family Club’s total carbon footprint in the year ending December 2020 was 99.2 tCO2e. N Family Club’s total carbon per employee in the year ending 2020 was 0.7 tCO2e.

If N Family club is able to achieve its carbon reduction target, the company will save the same amount of carbon as is absorbed by 6 acres of forest in one year.

Steve Malkin
Founder and CEO
Planet Mark
“Congratulations to N Family Club on their first year of Planet Mark certification. As the company knows well, the early years are often the most important. In this last year N Family Club has laid the foundations for long term environmental change. By measuring their carbon footprint and committing to sustainable improvement, the company is primed for a sustainable future. I am delighted by the initiative shown by N Family Club and look forward to a blossoming partnership.”

Certification story

In this crucial Decade of Action, the N Family club wants to ensure that it is a force for good: positively transforming society and the planet by measuring its own impact on the environment. Through Planet Mark N Family Club has protected an area of endangered rainforest thanks to Cool Earth; a charity working alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation. The company is also helping the Eden Project – an educational charity building connections with each other and the living world, exploring how it can work together towards a better future. Over the next year, the company will be working towards reducing its carbon emissions and sharing its journey with its community to inspire others.

N Family Club set out to rethink early years, offering a fresh outlook on education and careers in the sector, while also solving the key problems faced by parents. Educational establishments have an opportunity to spread use their sustainability policies to educate and empower students in climate action, creating positive change beyond the remits of their own sustainable agendas.
