“Open Energy Market has showed dedication and commitment to future-proofing its business. As a company working in the energy industry, the team are perfectly positioned to understand the importance of a sustainable and just transition. Planet Mark certification is a statement of intent to make committed and continuous improvements across the business, and this ambition should be applauded.”
Neil Cressey

Open Energy Market
“At Open Energy Market, we are committed to reducing our Carbon Emissions year-on-year and have engaged with Planet Mark to measure our own impact on the environment, and to help drive the actions we need to undertake to limit our emissions. Operating within the energy industry, we are acutely aware of the need to become Carbon Neutral, and actively work with all our customers and suppliers to help them achieve their own sustainability goals.”

Open Energy Market was established in late 2012 with a vision of providing energy buyers and suppliers with a more efficient, open and fairer way to contract. As well as its commitment to cutting its operational carbon emissions, Open Energy Market has made a donation to the Eden Project to promote environmental education in the community. It has also committed to protecting an acre of endangered rainforest in Peru by working with conservation charity Cool Earth.

The energy sector is one of the fastest-growing global industries. Innovation in efficient products, technology and infrastructure are rife and businesses will need to invest and procure well to remain competitive. Data has become the key driver to cost-saving and informed decision-making and the Open Platform will always be at the heart of translating that data into business intelligence. Open Energy Market is continually innovating, building fast and pushing the boundaries of the sector.
