Certification story

Regular Cleaning, the UK’s most socially responsible family cleaning business, has achieved Planet Mark certification. Achieving Planet Mark is based on the commitment to continuous improvement in sustainability in its business operations by measuring and reducing its carbon footprint and engaging its stakeholders.

Sustainability is not just a buzzword for Regular Cleaning, but an ethos that drives its company forward. The company align its sustainability goals with its core business strategy. This includes the learning and development of its employees, the impact of its services, its approach to Health and Safety and the technology and products they use. 

Regular Cleaning are striving to take urgent climate action across its organisation and empowering colleagues to make meaningful change. From energy and carbon reduction to waste management and biodiversity, its Better Places strategy aims to create meaningful and impactful solutions. As part if its strategy, Regular Cleaning will working with Planet Mark to become a net zero carbon business by 2030.

The company has also measured its social value contributions which amounted to £287,304. This refers to the net social and environmental benefits generated by its team. Measuring its social value gives a holistic insight into its positive contributions to not only the environment but also to society, demonstrating its commitment to meaningfully contribute to a better planet for all.

Going beyond

Beyond carbon reduction, the company has protected an area of endangered rainforest thanks to Cool Earth; a charity working alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation. It has also helped the Eden Project – an educational charity building connections with each other and the living world, exploring how it can work together towards a better future.

To recertify next year Regular cleaning must reduce emissions by 2.5%.
