Tamar Nurseries grows well over a million plants each year and offer a complete package for Local Authorities, Landscapers, Architects, Retail Outlets and Garden Designers, as well as an excellent in house product for Garden Centres.

Tamar Nurseries strive to be a leader in environmental sustainability and it believes that a successful future for its business, staff and customers depend on the sustainability of the environment around them.

As a responsible company, Tamar recognises its duty to restrict the impacts of its actions, how it operates and indirectly through its supply lines as well as any opportunity they come across.

By becoming Planet Mark certified, Tamar Nurseries has committed to minimising the impact of their operations on the environment and demonstrating leadership by integrating environmental considerations into all our business practices.

By being more strategic about its environmental responsibility, the company will be able to significantly increase its positive impact and hope to encourage continual improvements within its community.

Through Planet Mark, has protected endangered rainforests thanks to Cool Earth; a charity working alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation. Its pledge through Cool Earth goes directly towards supporting the Asháninka community in Central Peru.

It is also helped the Eden Project – an educational charity building connections with each other and the living world, exploring how we can work together towards a better future.

Reduce carbon emissions by at least 2.5% each year

To recertify next year Tamar Nurseries must reduce emissions by 2.5%.

A 5% year-on-year reduction is the target reduction recommended by Planet Mark.
