Certification story

TP Health, an occupational health and safety services provider focusing on improving employee wellbeing and delivering statutory compliance both in the UK and Europe, has achieved Planet Mark certification.

This is TP Health’s third year of business carbon footprint reporting and Planet Mark certification. Since certifying to Planet Mark, the company has set a target to reduce emissions by 5% annually.

TP Health’s total carbon footprint in the year ending December 2021 was 80.1 tCO2e, a reduction of 10%. TP Health’s total carbon per employee in the year ending 2021 was 1.2 tCO2e.

Certification story

TP Health has taken a number of measures to become more sustainable. As well as committing to a reduction of carbon emissions by 5% annually, the company has pledged to protect an acre of rainforest with the conservation charity Cool Earth. The company is also contributing to four Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and five SDG targets.

Sustainability presents an opportunity that must be capitalised on for those in the occupational health business. CEOs and business leaders across all industries consistently rank sustainability and climate change as one of the most pressing concerns for modern companies. But for those working in occupational health, the impacts are closer to home. The impact of climate change on our buildings, homes and workspaces is shown to have detrimental impacts on the health and wellbeing of its occupants. For companies working in occupational health, tackling environmental issues is not just an issue of planetary importance, but a vital indicator of expertise in a company’s core competency areas.
