Steve Malkin
Founder and CEO
Planet Mark
“Well done to UhUb on achieving its carbon reduction target for this year. In a challenging year for business, it is important not to lose sight of the importance of climate change. UhUb has made great progress to keep on track. As a training organisation used sharing best practice, their climate action spreads beyond the UhUb team, and into the entirety of its customer base. Well done to UhUb on a great year.”
Stephen Goodall
Managing Director
“I am very pleased to be working with Planet Mark and definitely see this as a most effective tool in creating planned action and results was always designed to be lean and flexible, from a full homeworking network business model, to developing and doing only what is valuable for clients and users in the simplest way possible. This has had the natural effect of making us very low impact.

Certification story

Stephen added “Our involvement with Planet Mark has led us to move from ‘recognition & awareness of the climate situation to an ‘action’ phase. So, the UhUb design process now ensures that we consider how each tool we create might help our clients & users be more sustainable by degrees. The most obvious way we do this is through technical, method and specific product and tools training. This level of 24/7 accessible training & revision is creating more engaged, efficient, productive and more waste aware workforces and, allows management and learning teams to develop additional focussed training and better allocate efforts where required, reducing time and resource usage across the structure.

We are now expanding our focus to helping our 1000’s of users improves their own sustainability efforts by sharing Planet & Wellness tips for their private and work lives. These hints and tips on sustainable and healthy living will be drawn from several partners of which Planet Mark is one.

At UhUb we love what we do and having a sustainable focus to assist clients is now a core value we are proud of, as is the recognition of our effort from Planet Mark.”

UhUb was the first app-based business to achieve Planet Mark certification and has been committed to ethical business from its inception. UhUb espouses a ‘sustainability by degrees’ philosophy whereby they believe saturated, whole workforce training on method, product and equipment, along with information on Climate and Planet activities maximises any cleaning company’s ‘Green’ investment and ensures the best results are gained throughout a business. As well as its commitment to measure and reduce its carbon footprint, UhUb has pledged to conserve an acre of rainforest through a collaboration with conservation charity Cool Earth.
