Certification story

Waste Experts, creators of bespoke, transparent and responsive environmental service solutions have achieved the Planet Mark certification.

In this crucial Decade of Action, the company wants to ensure that it is a force for good: positively transforming society and the planet by measuring its own impact on the environment. Over the next year, the company will be working towards reducing its carbon emissions and sharing its journey with its community to inspire others.

It has also measured its social value contributions which amounted to £1,432. This refers to the net social and environmental benefits generated by its team. Measuring the team’s social value gives a holistic insight into its positive contributions to not only the environment but also to society, demonstrating its commitment to meaningfully contribute to a better planet for all.

Through Planet Mark, Waste Experts will have protected an area of endangered rainforest thanks to Cool Earth; a charity working alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation. Its pledge through Cool Earth goes directly towards supporting the Asháninka community in Central Peru.

The company has also donated to the Eden Project – an educational charity building connections with each other and the living world, exploring how we can work together towards a better future.

Future targets
